Licenses and Copyright
University of Thi-Qar Journal for Engineering Sciences
Standard copyright, open access policies, and licensing terms for content published in UTJES.
Open Access Policy
Standard copyright applies to the content and form of this website. Unless otherwise stated, all this content is copyrighted. Special conditions apply to the usage, modification, and redistribution of the articles.
UTJES is an Open Access journal: all content is freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles without asking prior permission from the publisher or authors.
Articles & Manuscripts
Unless otherwise stated, manuscripts are provided under a Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-SA license. You are allowed to copy, use, and redistribute this content in identical or modified forms under the following conditions:
- You must attribute the work to its original authors.
- If you reuse work for a scientific publication, you must properly cite it using the citation metadata provided on the algorithm page.
- You may not use this work for commercial purposes.
Credit for external files and media (embedded or available for download) are given in the manuscripts, and different licenses may apply.
Software
The software published in UTJES articles is distributed under a free software license. You are allowed to copy, use, and redistribute this source code in identical or modified forms, as source code or a compiled program. Depending on the license selected, additional conditions may apply.
As an exception, implementations of patented algorithms may be distributed with ad-hoc licensing terms instead of free software licenses. Please refer to source code files for exact conditions.
Datasets & Supplementary Materials
Unless otherwise stated, datasets and supplementary materials are provided under a Creative Commons CC-BY license. You may copy, use, and redistribute this content in identical or modified forms for any purpose, provided that:
- You must attribute the work to its original authors and properly cite it using the citation metadata provided on the algorithm page if reused for a scientific publication.
Citation Requirements
You must attribute articles (including manuscript, software, and datasets) to their original authors. If you reuse work for a scientific publication, properly cite it using the citation metadata provided for convenience as BibTeX code on the article page.
Demos
Original data used as input for demonstrations (images or other uploaded files) may be covered by copyrights restricting your right to reuse demonstration outputs, which may be considered derivative works. Because archives are unmoderated, we suggest only reusing demonstration outputs produced from input files for which you know the copyright status.
If you use content produced by an online demo for a scientific publication, you must properly cite the related UTJES article.
